We are proud that our independent agents and customers have recognized our dedication by making UAIC the market leader in every state where we conduct business.We are growing!  We have a great opportunity for a Field Auto Appraiser in the Central Orlando, Florida area.SCOPE:The Appraiser assesses damages to property (primarily auto) and ensures fair, accurate, and timely claim settlements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Texas-specific regulations and repair practices in the P&C space.This position is also offered in a remote work arrangement, allowing the ideal candidate to work from their preferred location within the Orlando, Florida area. Must be able to work field claims in Orlando area.DUTIES:Inspect and appraise damaged property (auto or home), either in-person or virtually, depending on assignmentPrepare detailed, itemized repair estimates using industry-standard software (e.g., Audatex/Qapter, CCC One, Xactimate, Mitchell)Determine repair versus total loss thresholds and recommend next stepsReview photos, videos, and documentation submitted by claimants, repair shops, or adjustersCollaborate with adjusters, repair facilities, and policyholders to verify losses and resolve disputesEnsure compliance with all state regulations, company guidelines, and ethical standardsMaintain accurate records and documentation for claims handlingStay up to date on Texas repair laws, materials pricing, and appraisal practicesEDUCATION:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferredSKILLS & EXPERIENCE:2+ years of experience in property or auto damage appraisal, preferably in a P&C insurance settingPresentable and reliable vehicle suitable for daily field work (mileage reimbursement provided)Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (or ability to obtain within 60 days) preferredProficient with estimating software such as CCC One, Audatex, Xactimate, or similarStrong knowledge of Texas insurance and repair lawsExcellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skillsValid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territoryExcellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to manage a high volume of cases with attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.BENEFITS:401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer match.Comprehensive Medical, Prescription Drug, Vision, and Dental InsurancePaid Time Off, Holidays, and Leave programs.Flexible spending accountsBasic Life Insurance and Voluntary Life/ADDVoluntary Short Term and Long-Term DisabilityUAIC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees.
