Array partners with an extensive network of hospitals, health systems, community healthcare organizations, and payors to improve access and deliver the highest quality of care to patients.ABOUT THE ROLE Array Behavioral Care is seeking a Part-Time Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry to provide clinical leadership, oversight, and direct patient care within a hospital-based behavioral health unit. This role combines telehealth rounding, admissions, treatment planning with medical leadership responsibilities, including quality oversight, clinical standardization, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This is an ideal opportunity for a psychiatrist who enjoys leadership impact with a flexible, part-time structure. Array will support getting additional state licensure for active, board-certified or board-Eligible Psychiatrists.WHAT YOU’LL DO Serve as the clinical leader for partner inpatient psychiatric service line, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based careProvide guidance and oversight on clinical decision-making, risk management, and patient safetySupport standardization of care practices, documentation quality, and adherence to regulatory requirementsPartner with hospital and administrative leadership on program development, performance improvement, and operational alignmentParticipate in peer review, case review, and quality improvement initiativesConduct psychiatric evaluations, admissions, and follow-up visitsProvide daily rounding and medication management for inpatient psychiatric patientsDevelop and oversee individualized treatment plansGuide disposition planning, including admissions, transfers, and dischargesComplete required documentation, including psychiatric evaluations and discharge summariesLead or participate in treatment team meetings and case conferencesCollaborate closely with nursing, social work, case management, and hospital leadershipProvide consultation and support to clinical staff on complex or high-risk casesEngage with families and external providers to ensure continuity of careWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Board-certified or board-eligible PsychiatristPrevious hospital-based Medical Director experience required. Inpatient Psychiatry medical Director experience preferredUnrestricted, independent licensureEstablished and updated CAQH and FCVS profilesExperience providing psychiatric care to all age groupsTreating patients in acute crisis and providing stabilizing treatment in 24/7 settingsCommunicating with patients from various backgrounds and providing culturally competent careExperience working with multiple EMRs at the same timeAdvanced technical proficiency, including using hardware (Laptop, camera, monitors), Windows systems, Microsoft software, and EMR software over several years of experience in telehealthYou thrive in a supportive, collaborative, solutions-oriented, and inclusive environmentYou are interested in being a clinician in a thriving behavioral health care modalityYou are passionate about our mission to transform access to quality behavioral care through innovative applications of technologyPOSITION LOGISTICS 100% remote positionPart-time structure combining Clinical and Administrative timeFlexible schedule aligned with hospital needs (e.g. rounding blocks + leadership time)Required to have a private office space in home or elsewhere for confidentialityYou will likely be required to work with Array to obtain additional state licensure and DEA licenses.
