DescriptionPingWind is seeking an ETL Developer to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a fully remote position responsible for data integrity, including management, enhancement, integration, implementation, maintenance, modernization, and infrastructure support for enterprise applications.ResponsibilitiesServe as the ETL Developer supporting sustainment services for VA, migration of large-scale systems to the cloud, and delivery of advanced analytics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilitiesResponsible for overall technical execution of all activities performed by the ETL Developers who are matrixed into Scrum TeamsDesign robust ETL processes that facilitate seamless data integration from multiple sources into applications or the data warehouseCoordinate across workstreams to ensure Scrum teams are properly staffed with the necessary resourcesPeer review code written by other ETL DevelopersEnsure all team members are trained on best practices and common coding guidelines, promoting knowledge sharing across the teamPerform a robust set of data integrity operations/checks throughout the ETL process (quality control, unit testing, functional testing, and system testing)Ensure SQL validation scripts are run daily to check the status and data integrity of the overnight ETL jobsTrack the efficiency and performance of all automated processes to verify they are operating within defined timelines/service levels and they are producing high-quality/valid reports with traceability of data used to generate each reportDevelop and validate ETL workflows and store the resulting ETL packages in GitHubTrack, by manual and automated means (i.e., triggers on sensing/logging systems), any notable deviations from target thresholds on availability, server load, disc I/O rates, etc.Ensure solutions are appropriately configured, available, and accessible for usersRequirementsBachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or technical discipline5 years relevant experience.Proficient working with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, PowerApps, and Power BIProficient with Microsoft SSIS ETL ToolsProficient with Microsoft SQL ServerOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsExpert communication and client management skillsSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and organizedStrong research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsFlexible, able to adapt to different customer groups and expectationsExperience working in and with cross-functional teamsOutcome-oriented approach focused on delivering value to end users backed by measurable, data-driven resultsU.S. Citizenship; Ability to obtain Public Trust clearanceDesired QualificationsPrevious experience with Tableau, OBIEE, and ETLExperience with Data BricksExperience with Azure CloudAbout PingWindPingWind is focused on delivering outstanding services to the federal government.
