Come join our table!POSITION SUMMARYPartner and support wholesale distributors and independent grocery retailers with planning promotional activity, selling new products, and merchandising.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSResponsible for annual volume / profit objectives and additional goals as definedCreate sales programs and make presentations to customers within areaManage existing accounts; ensure product flow and service levels meet or exceed customer contract and/or expectations; troubleshoot and resolve customer issues; develop relationships with key personnel with assigned accountsManage and direct multiple brokers - assign annual Sales and P&L objectivesResponsible for managing Trade Spend - promotions and pricingWork with Syndicated Market data and Marketing department to create sales opportunitiesResponsible for store calls, periodic price checking and slotting for Bar-S Foods Co. and competitor productsOther duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent or three (3) years of related sales experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experienceNielsen Product AnalysisTwo (2) years’ experience in Food IndustryDirect experience driving mix and margin of meat sales in an independent retail sales environmentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA’s)Experience presenting data to new and prospective customersExcellent computer skills (MS Office)Excellent communication skills a necessityMust be self-motivated, have a good work ethic, be dependable and organizedMust possess exceptional people skills and the ability to follow projects to completionENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONSAble to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays for up to 5 days at a timePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAble to stand for at least 4 hours.Can regularly lift and move 30 pound boxes/buckets on/off shelves or cart/hand-truck.Can repeatedly twist, turn, kneel, stoop, stand, rotate, bend, push or pull to move 30 pounds.COMPENSATIONDepending on geography, skills, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate, as traveling is a requirement.BENEFITSThe Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, 10 days paid time off, paid parental leave, paid holidays, & state mandated sick time, if applicableEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERSigma provides equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex,
