Requirements and responsibilities


⚠️ The base salary is $1.200.000 COP, plus transportation and housing assistance. ⚡ US Visa is required. We are looking for an electronic or mechanical engineering intern role; this could be an excellent opportunity to join us and start your career with Kiwibot. You will have the opportunity to be part of our 4 to 6 months program, in which you will have the chance to know Kiwibot inside out and experience the natural tech startup environment through intensive training and exposure. As a maintenance technician, a typical day might include the following: ⚡ Deployment process. ⚡ Fleet maintenance. ⚡ Repair parts. ⚡ Electronic device welding. ⚡ Debugging parts. ⚡ Document known issues. ⚡ Support the robots test. ⚡ Being comfortable addressing frequent product changes. ⚡ Understanding limitations in our technology. ⚡ Frequently coming across unknowns. ⚡ Managing constant change and sudden growth. The program has the following stages: ✅ Introduction to Kiwibot and training (1-3 weeks) ✅ On-field intensive training (15-20 weeks) ✅ Experience debriefing (1-3 weeks) ✅ Time off (according to Colombian labor law) ⚡ The exact duration of each section is an estimate and can change during the curse of the program. ⚡ The intensive training will be mainly in the US, so that you will need a US Visa. ⚡ Kiwibot will develop some projects in the Middle East or Asia. However, the main project will be in the US. This job might be the right one for you if: ⚡ Legally eligible to work in Colombia. ⚡ Proficient English level. ⚡ Hand soldering and rework experience are highly desirable. ⚡ Electronic testing skills. ⚡ Understanding of EE test equipment and use and appropriate application. (Oscilloscopes, meters, data loggers, power supplies, etc.) ⚡ Strong documentation and communication skills. ⚡ Experience in debugging and resolving hardware and software issues. You might also have: ⚡ Some electronics design experience is preferred, with the ability to review and understand schematics and electronic board layout designs. ⚡ Spanish language skills (we are a Latin America start-up!) ⚡ Experience starting or scaling a successful start-up ⚡ Demonstrated interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces ⚡ Problem-Solving attitude and experience ⚡ Collaborating with other engineers and professional
