Requirements and responsibilities

About the Role We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Director of Technology based in Colombia to lead our technology vision, infrastructure, and development efforts. This role will be responsible for aligning technology with business goals, building and optimizing systems, and ensuring fast, reliable access to operational data. You will play a key role in implementing new technologies, including AI, to improve efficiency and decision-making in a remote environment. Responsibilities Define and execute the overall technology strategy Lead and manage engineering and technical teams Oversee system architecture, infrastructure, and scalability Design, build, and optimize systems and programs for operational tracking and performance metrics Manage and structure data across platforms to ensure fast, accurate, and actionable reporting Implement and oversee AI tools and automation to improve workflows and efficiency Ensure quick delivery of data insights from systems to support operations and leadership Ensure security, performance, and reliability of systems Collaborate with leadership to drive product and business growth Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency Requirements Proven experience in a Director of Technology, Head of Engineering, or similar role Strong technical background in software development and system architecture Experience building and managing data systems, reporting tools, or operational platforms Experience working with AI tools, automation, or data-driven technologies Strong understanding of data structures, system integration, and performance optimization Experience leading and scaling engineering teams Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and modern tech stacks Strong problem-solving and leadership skills Excellent English communication skills Must be based in Colombia Experience working in remote or international environments is a plus
