We are looking for an experienced security engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Web Application Firewalls (WAF), bot management, and API security, with a major focus on implementing and migrating to Akamai Technologies solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Lead or support the implementation of Akamai security solutions. - Participate in the migration from existing WAF platforms into Akamai. - Review, migrate, and tune WAF rules, policies, exceptions, and protections. - Implement and optimize bot management protections. - Support API security configurations and policy enforcement. - Troubleshoot false positives, application issues, and traffic anomalies during migration. - Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, cloud, and application teams. - Monitor and improve application security posture and platform performance. - Document migration activities, security policies, and implementation procedures. Ideal Profile: - The ideal candidate is someone who has already completed a real-world migration into Akamai and understands the technical and operational challenges involved. - This person should be comfortable handling policy migration, tuning, implementation, troubleshooting, and collaboration across multiple teams while maintaining application availability and security effectiveness throughout the transition.
