JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Group AccountantExemptPOSITION SUMMARYThe Group Accountant plays a critical role in the financial operations of Connected Manufacturing, supporting a growing, global organization. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, leading month-end close activities, supporting group consolidation, and strengthening financial controls across multiple entities.This is a hands-on role requiring both technical accounting expertise and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The Group Accountant will partner cross-functionally to provide financial insights, improve processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.This position will report directly to the CEO.GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITYKey Responsibilities:Financial Accounting & ReportingLead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliationsPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variancesSupport and enhance preparation of management accounts and internal financial reportingEnsure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial dataGroup Accounting & ConsolidationSupport group consolidation across multiple legal entitiesManage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminationsEnsure consistency in accounting policies across entitiesAssist in preparation of consolidated financial statementsStatutory & Audit SupportSupport preparation of statutory accounts across jurisdictionsCoordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providersEnsure compliance with local regulatory and reporting requirementsMaintain strong internal controls and documentation standardsAccounts Receivable & Billing OversightOversee billing processes, ensuring accuracy and completenessMonitor receivables and partner with stakeholders on collectionsReview customer invoicing, credit notes, and cash applicationSupport cash inflow forecastingAccounts Payable & Cash ManagementOversee vendor processes, payments, and reconciliationsSupport cash flow management, including forecasting and reportingPerform and review bank reconciliationsGeneral Ledger & TaxMaintain integrity of the general ledger across entitiesSupport preparation of VAT, sales tax, and other filings (for review)Liaise with payroll providers and support payroll-related submissionsOperational & Cross-Functional SupportPartner with Finance, Operations, and Delivery teams to support financial processesProvide insights to support business decision-makingAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as neededProcess Improvement & SystemsIdentify and drive improvements in finance processes, controls, and reportingSupport finance system enhancements and data integrity initiativesParticipate in finance transformation and automation effortsInter-CompanyPrepare inter-company invoices and debit notesReporting for inter-company paymentsAccounts Payable (Invoice & Payments Processing)Add vendor master records to accounting softwareCreate vendor invoices and credit notesPost payments to vendorsReview and pass employee expenses for approvalPrepare payments list for employee reimbursable expenses paymentsReconcile vendor accounts to vendor statementsPrepare monthly list for paymentsPrepare cash outflow forecast for creditorsMonthly Receivables Control reconciliationBank AccountsDaily posting of receipts, payments and interbank transfersDaily bank accounts reconciliationsGeneral LedgerPrepare and post to general ledgerPreparation of general reconciliationTax Returns (Preparation of returns for review)Preparation of VAT and RTD return for Irish subsidiarySales Taxes (liaise with US Tax Accountant)Prepare payroll submissions for payroll service providerLiaise with Seabrook Group CompaniesAs requiredLiaise with Third Party Service Providers to detailExperience:Minimum Qualifications:5+ years of experience in a financial-relevant role, accounting or finance (industry or practice).Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP exposure preferred).Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial systems.High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.Ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Oracle NetSuite (or equivalent)Familiarity with a consulting services company business modelPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS, technology, manufacturing, or professional services environment.Progress toward or completion of a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).Experience in a hyper-growth, global organization.Exposure to group consolidation, audits and statutory reporting.Exposure to mergers / acquisitions.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience with International Finance and Accounting StandardsExperience supporting multi-entity or group
