Your role at a glanceThe Sr. Network and Automation Engineer is responsible for driving network automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, consistency, scalability, and reliability across enterprise and data center environments. This includes developing and maintaining automation frameworks, infrastructure-as-code solutions, configuration management processes, and operational workflows to reduce manual effort, improve deployment velocity, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.What we are looking forKEY RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, and maintafiguration management, compliance validation, monitoring, and operational processes.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and network automation frameworks using scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.Create automated workflows and orchestration processes for network deployments, upgrades, lifecycle management, and remediation activities.Integrate network infrastructure with enterprise platforms, monitoring systems, source-of-truth repositories, CMDBs, and ITSM tools.Develop and maintaplates, and reusable code libraries to ensure consistency across network environments.Implement automated compliance and configuration validation processes to ensure adherence to security and operational standards.Participate ection, and implementation of automation platforms, orchestration tools, and emerging technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency and service delivery.Maintakflows, standards, and operational procedures.Mentor engineers and technical teams on automation best practices, coding standards, and DevOps methodologies.Support continuous improvement initiatives through automation, data analysis, and operational metrics reporting.KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTESStrong understanding of network automation, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.Experience developing automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.Knowledge of source code management platforms such as Git and software development lifecycle best practices.Understanding of API-driven network management, RESTful APIs, data modeling, and automation frameworks.Experience with configuration management, compliance automation, and network source-of-truth platforms.Knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing methodologies.Ability to analyze operational processes and develop automated solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.Multi-homed ISP (BGP) & IPV6Routing & SwitchingFirewall & Load BalancerIDS/IPSPacket Capture (Wireshark)WirelessLinux & WindowsAdvanced Monitoring ConceptsVOIP/voice and IP carrier circuitsInternet Protocols (DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, Telnet)Strong verbal and written communication skills, technical writing and documentationStrong Diagramming (Visio) skillsShell ScriptingPacket Analysis and network troubleshootingStrong troubleshooting and problem solving skillsAbility to lead and participate in projects that cross multiple technical disciplines.Ability to develop technical standards and designs for projectsAbility to white-board and intelligently discuss conceptsACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONSBachelor's degree ineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE10+ years of enterprise networking experience.2+ years of experience hitecture, or infrastructure engineering leadership roles.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPrimarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.Able to hear and speak on the telephone.Close visual work on a computer terminal.Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTSAbility to travel domestically and internationally, as business needs require.Participation e visits, industry conferences, and vendor engagements.Ability to support critical initiatives outside normal business hours when required.Occasional visits to operational facilities and technical environments requiring adherence to applicable safety and security procedures.Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location.
