Responsibilities

The Bluegrass Youth Liberty Project is a Kentucky organization dedicated to increasing youth voter turnout and expanding young people’s role in democracy through state-level legislation. Our reforms include allowing districts the option to lower the school board voting age to 16 and establishing a half-credit civics course requirement in KY public high schools. We're working to make democracy accessible to all Kentuckians! We've introduced legislation and built a bipartisan coalition of endorsements. Now, we want to bring our organization from great to excellent. As the ED of Bluegrass Youth Liberty Project, we're looking for a Kentucky student to join our team as Lobby Day Director. The position comes with a $1,000 stipend and access to future funding opportunities. It's almost completely remote --- only with the ask that you're occasionally able to travel to Frankfort for the Lobby Days you'll be organizing. We're looking for someone with proficiency in Google Workspace. Our website is bylpky.org, which you can visit for more info.
