We are seeking a highly motivated and pragmatic Commercial Counsel to join our growing Legal team. The role offers the opportunity to work in close partnership with our go-to-market teams (Sales, Marketing, Partners & Alliances, and Professional Services) and make a significant impact on the company’s operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience reviewing and negotiating contracts, a strong ability to exercise independent judgment, and a practical, business focused approach to legal issues. Job ResponsibilitiesContract Review and NegotiationReview, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, for our go-to-market teamsReview, draft, and negotiate agreements with vendors and suppliersPartner with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business objectives and risk toleranceSupport for Go-to-Market TeamsWork closely with internal clients to understand the business, and support them in solving their biggest challenges and achieving their business objectivesProvide clear and simple advice and counsel to our go-to-market teamsProactively address legal and business risks while enabling deal closures and fostering strong internal partnershipsCollaboration Across the Legal Function and BeyondAssist with the creation and maintenance of deal enablement tools including agreement templates, playbooks, processes, and trainingsPartner with other members of the Legal team and as part of cross-functional teams on key projects and initiativesOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar (in good standing)At least 2-3 years of experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably in a technology, SaaS, or high-growth company environmentStrong ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentDemonstrated ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-oriented legal advice while balancing legal risk and business objectivesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with a variety of stakeholdersFamiliarity with privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CPRA and CCPAFamiliarity with U.S. federal government contracts is a plusBackground checks will be conducted on an ongoing basis every 3 years or as needed for individuals in this role.Ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace is our priority.
