Requirements and responsibilities

The customer is a Fintech company providing innovative insurance products and financial solutions for residential and commercial real estate professionals as well as their residents and tenants. With a focus on data and industry expertise in real estate, risk, and finance, the company optimizes the relationship between landlords, leasing staff, brokers, and tenants by taking risk out of the leasing process and making it more efficient at the same time. REQUIRED SKILLS - 4+ years of relevant production work experience in back-end development - 3+ years of experience in GoLang preferred - BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering, MIS or proof of exceptional skills in related fields, with practical software engineering experience - Excited by start-up culture and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment - Deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms - Enjoy building APIs and system services that can scale seamlessly with a quickly growing user base - Actively participate in product development end-to-end: user research, discovery, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, support and user feedback - Care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code - Aware of top web applications and back-end security risks and techniques for mitigating them - Upper-Intermediate English proficiency WOULD BE A PLUS - Worked with AWS services and tools in production RESPONSIBILITIES - Be a hands-on part of a multidisciplinary team to build next-generation software products (full-stack) and solutions - Be accountable for delivering and supporting applications in a production environment - Participate in a fully agile development process with frequent releases - Develop fully functional application components with clean code - Build backend microservices with well-defined APIs - Work with persistent data stores, caches, messages buses, and other server-side technology
