Senior Database Security Engineer required to help our customers with the implementation and run and maintain of their Oracle MSS Database Security Services.In this role, you will operate at the intersection of cloud security, database architecture, and customer success, partnering closely with OCI engineering and field teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cloud-native solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and delivery of cloud-native database security solutions leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Drive end-to-end solution ownership, from architecture through deployment and ongoing operationsPartner with OCI engineering teams to influence product direction based on real-world customer requirementsTranslate business and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure technical solutionsAct as a subject matter expert in database security across customer engagements and internal initiativesSupport strategic customer engagements, including pre-sales architecture, solution positioning, and technical advisoryContinuously improve existing security offerings, identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and innovationAdvocate for security best practices aligned with industry standards (NIST, ISO, PCI, etc.)Operate within a DevSecOps model, enabling secure adoption of cloud database technologiesStay at the forefront of cloud and database security trends, ensuring Oracle solutions remain competitive and forward-lookingRequired Qualifications6+ years of experience in database security, cloud security, or related fieldsStrong expertise in Oracle Database security technologies, including two or more of the following: Database Vault; Audit Vault & Database Firewall; SQL Firewall; Transparent Data Encryption (TDE); Data Safe; Data Masking; Oracle Key Vault; Database Auditing; DBSATHands-on experience designing and securing solutions in OCI (preferred) or AWS, Azure, GCPStrong understanding of security architecture, encryption, and network security principlesExperience supporting cloud migrations with a focus on securityProficiency in at least one programming/scripting language: Python, PL/SQL, or APEXStrong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience with Oracle AI Database 26ai and OCI AI capabilitiesFamiliarity with security frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, FedRAMPExperience with containerized and distributed systems (Kubernetes, Kafka, microservices)Background in automation and DevOps/DevSecOps practicesSecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, GIAC, or CISAExperience across multiple cloud providers (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP)We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
