Over $500M has been transacted through the platform and our investors include GV (Google Ventures) and Foundation Capital.The RoleWe're seeking a Staff Accountant to join our remote-first finance team, reporting directly to the Controller. This role is the primary owner of our accounts payable function and plays an integral part in the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including supporting the monthly close process and broader accounting activities.Core Responsibilities:Own the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice entry, coding, and routing for approval in Bill.com; serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and payment statusMaintain accuracy and completeness of the AP subledgerManagement of Stripe invoicingSupport the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and recording of banking activityAssist with annual audit preparation by organizing and providing supporting documentationCollaborate with the Controller on process improvements and ad hoc projectsPartner with internal teams to ensure proper coding and approval of expenditures in line with company policyRequired Qualifications:3–5 years of accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of core accounting dutiesWorking knowledge of US GAAP and its practical application in day-to-day accounting operationsProficiency in Excel, including vlookups and pivot tablesHighly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environmentClear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionallyPreferred Qualifications:· Experience with NetSuite· Familiarity with AP automation tools such as Bill.com or similar platforms· Experience using Expensify or a comparable expense management tool· Background in a technology company, marketplace, or other high-growth environmentWorking At PeerspaceThe annual salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000.
