Requirements and responsibilities

We are currently partnering with a leading pharmaceutical organisation to recruit a Buyer on a 9-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and contribute to critical supply chain operations supporting life-saving products.You will play a key role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services, while maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, RFQs, negotiation, and purchase order placementProcure raw materials, APIs, packaging, and indirect goods/services in line with business needsBuild and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers to ensure quality and continuity of supplyWork cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, and Operations teams to ensure compliance with GMP/GxP requirementsMonitor supplier performance and drive improvements where neededIdentify and mitigate supply chain risksSupport cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement activitiesMaintain accurate procurement data within ERP systemsWhat We're Looking ForProven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist, ideally within pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industriesStrong understanding of GMP/GxP environmentsExcellent negotiation and supplier management skillsExperience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication skills and attention to detailDesirableExperience sourcing APIs, excipients, or packaging materialsCIPS qualification (or working towards)Experience working with global suppliersWhy Apply?Fully remote working flexibilityOpportunity to work with a reputable pharmaceutical companyExposure to a dynamic and regulated procurement environmentCompetitive contract ratesApply NowIf you are an experienced Buyer looking for your next contract opportunity in the pharmaceutical sector, we'd love to hear from you.
