Requirements and responsibilities

At Emburse, our mission is to humanize work by automating expense management and accounts payable processes, allowing businesses to focus on what truly matters. We are looking for a Solutions Consultant I to join our high-performing Pre-Sales team. In this role, you will act as the technical and product expert, partnering closely with our Sales team to show SMB and Velocity prospects how Emburse can transform their financial workflows. If you are tech-savvy, love solving puzzles, can travel up to 25% and thrive in a fast-paced environment where your impact is visible every day, we want to talk to you. What You Will DoOwn the Stage: Deliver compelling, value-focused product demonstrations of the Emburse solution suite to prospective finance, AP, and travel executives.Partner with Sales: Collaborate with regional Account Executives to understand prospect pain points and align our product capabilities with their business goals.Handle the Details: Own technical validation tasks, including responding to RFPs, filling out security questionnaires, and setting up trial environments.Keep Learning: Stay ahead of product updates, industry verticals, and competitive landscapes to remain a trusted advisor to internal teams and external prospects.Support the Community: Assist at trade shows, user conferences, and internal sales meetings to champion the Emburse brand. What You Will BringThe Foundation: 1–3 years of experience within a B2B SaaS company—ideally in a customer-facing role like implementation, customer success, technical support, or inside sales. The Voice: Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with a natural ability to command a room (or a Zoom call) and translate technical jargon into business value. The Mindset: A strong technical aptitude. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you should be comfortable discussing software architecture, integrations, and data security. The Agility: A positive, execution-focused attitude with the ability to manage multiple small-to-mid-sized deal cycles simultaneously.Who You AreAn Adaptable Builder: You thrive in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments. Change doesn't rattle you; it motivates you.A Financial Translator: You have an interest in—or exposure to—corporate finance, expense management, or accounts payable workflows.A Lifelong Learner: You love getting under the hood of a new software tool and figuring out how to make it solve real-world problems.Ready to Roll: You are comfortable working from a home office and willing to travel regionally (typically short 2–3 day trips) to support key sales opportunities when required.
