We combine modern technology with high-touch clinical support to help members stay ahead of health issues, reduce avoidable hospitalizations, and make healthcare easier to navigate.The RoleAs Clinical Director, you will own the clinical operations of our virtual care platform. You'll report to the Medical Director and be responsible for building, managing, and scaling the clinical team including nursing leadership, care managers, and care navigators.This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set the standard for how care is delivered, drive performance and quality across the team, and build the processes and infrastructure needed to grow. If you're a strong clinical operator who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to shape a care delivery organization from the ground up, this role is for you.ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring care delivery is safe, consistent, efficient, and aligned with organizational goalsBuild, manage, and develop the clinical team, with a strong focus on performance, accountability, and professional growthDesign, implement, and continuously improve clinical workflows, protocols, and escalation processes across the care continuumMaintain high standards of clinical quality, documentation, and operational excellenceDrive performance across key clinical metrics, including patient outcomes, engagement, quality, and productivityEnsure clinical operations remain compliant with applicable regulatory, billing, and documentation requirementsPartner cross-functionally to improve systems, solve operational bottlenecks, and support scalable growthRequirementsActive RN or higher clinical license requiredBachelor's degree required; MSN, MHA, MPH, or related graduate degree preferredClinical leadership experience in a virtual, value-based, or managed care environment, with direct responsibility for team performance and patient outcomesDemonstrated track record of building and scaling clinical teams, including hiring, onboarding, and developing frontline staff and mid-level leadersExperience designing or materially improving clinical workflows, care delivery processes, and quality assurance programsDeep working knowledge of Medicare and Medicare Advantage documentation, billing, and compliance requirementsFamiliarity with EHR systems and a practical understanding of how technology enables clinical operations at scaleComfort operating in an early-stage or high-growth environment where structure needs to be built, not just maintainedStrong analytical instinct — able to use data to identify problems, set targets, and drive accountability across a teamExcellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with non-clinical teams (product, engineering, operations)Compensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a mission-driven, fast-growing company.Equal OpportunityPreemptiveAI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
