Responsibilities

🚀 Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced (7yrs + Professional Experience) Linux DevOps / Python Engineer to support and enhance a private cloud environment. This role involves building and maintaining Production, Test, and Development environments, leveraging containerization and automation tools to improve system reliability and efficiency. In addition to infrastructure responsibilities, this position will contribute to Python-based development tasks, including system upgrades, automation initiatives, scripting enhancements, and GIS-related defect resolution. Key Responsibilities: -Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Production, Test, and Development environments within a private cloud infrastructure. -Utilize Docker and related technologies to containerize applications and standardize deployment processes. -Develop and maintain Python-based automation to streamline system upgrades and operational workflows. -Refactor and optimize existing scripts to improve performance, maintainability, and reliability. -Support system upgrades and infrastructure enhancements across multiple environments. -Identify and resolve GIS-related defects and contribute to ongoing GIS system improvements. -Collaborate with team members and technical leads to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule. -Work independently when required, while maintaining clear and consistent communication with the team. Required Qualifications -Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or Linux DevOps Engineer. -Strong proficiency in Python scripting and automation. -Hands-on experience with Docker or similar containerization technologies. -Experience managing multi-environment deployments (Production, Test, Development). -Experience supporting system upgrades and environment maintenance. -Familiarity with GIS systems or GIS development. -Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. -Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. -Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications (Optional but Recommended) -Experience working within private cloud environments. -Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools. -Experience refactoring legacy scripts or systems. -Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
