ABOUT THE ROLE
You don’t just cut footage—you craft stories with precision, pace, and purpose. As a Senior Video Editor at Maverick Studios, you’ll transform raw visuals into polished, compelling content that moves people and elevates brands. Whether it’s stitching together a fast-paced highlight reel, building an emotional narrative from interview footage, or adding just the right motion graphic to make a piece pop—you know how to make it sing. If you have a strong sense of rhythm, an eye for detail, and a creative mind that can bring briefs to life, you’ll fit right in.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
· Narrative Expert: Edit interview-driven and story-based content with thoughtful pacing, clear structure, and emotional impact.
· Platform Pro: Resize, reformat, and reimagine content for social, web, in-store, and internal communications—always on-brand, always on point.
· Motion Maven: Partner with the Design team and independently animate branded graphics, lower thirds, intros, and transitions using After Effects.
· Color & Sound Polisher: Perform light color correction and audio balancing to ensure each edit looks clean and sounds sharp.
· Creative Interpreter: Take scripts, briefs, or visual assets and elevate them—adding your editorial instincts to make every piece stronger.
· Trend Tracker: Stay sharp on evolving styles, editing techniques, and post-production tools to keep our content fresh and forward-thinking.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in film, media, or related field

WHAT YOU BRING:
· Experience: 5+ years editing video content in an agency, brand, or content studio setting. Experience with national or consumer-facing brands is a plus.
· Editing Expertise: Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, or Final Cut is a bonus.
· Motion Skills: Strong working knowledge of motion graphics and animation, including keyframe-based animation, kinetic type, and layered compositions.
· Storytelling Savvy: You know how to move people—through pacing, visual rhythm, and the power of a great edit.
· Detail Obsessed: You sweat the small stuff—transitions, timing, audio, color, captions—because you know it all adds up to pro-level polish.
· Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a team of creatives and can take feedback, pivot quickly, and bring new ideas to the table.
