In this role, you will own our quality engineering strategy, design scalable automation frameworks, and partner closely with engineering, product, and DevOps/SRE teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our platform. With strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, you will lead the development of modern test infrastructure and embed quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle with the goal of increasing customer trust and elevating our speed of delivery.Description of Job Duties:Own and evolve the organization’s quality engineering strategy, standards, and best practicesDesign and implement scalable automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScriptDevelop and maintain automated UI, API, E2E, and integration test suitesPartner with engineering and product teams to promote testable design and shift-left testingParticipate in architectural and design reviews to improve system testability and resilienceLead efforts to improve test coverage, reliability, and execution performanceInvestigate automation failures, triage defects, and drive root cause analysisDesign and manage test environments, data, and supporting infrastructureEvaluate and adopt new testing tools, frameworks, and methodologiesMentor and develop team members and establish quality engineering best practicesContribute to CI/CD pipelines and release-readiness processesRequired Education, Knowledge and Special Skills:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience7+ years of experience in test automation and quality engineering5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript/TypeScriptStrong experience with modern automation tools (Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Bruno, or similar)Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelinesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skillsAbility to operate independently and lead cross-functional initiativesExperience building test infrastructure in cloud-native environmentsPreferred Knowledge and Experience:Experience with load and stress testing tools (Artillery or similar)Experience testing AI/ML or LLM-powered systems with non-deterministic behaviorFamiliarity with AI testing/validation tools and techniquesPrior experience leading or scaling quality engineering programs
