About the jobWe are looking for a Sr IT Security Officer with at least 6 years experience to work for a BPO Client located in BGC.This role is designed to follow a remote setup, on a night shift schedule.Salary is up to 180K Package.Work Set-upWFH and equipment will be provided (but need to go onsite if needed like company events, training, or meetings that need to be conducted onsite)What we are looking for (highlights)With experience in Client facingHave set up and established IT securityWith experience in different SEIM and SOAR toolsWith experience in Penetration Testing and Phishing SimulationFamiliarity with the cloud-based infrastructureExcellent communication skillsRole descriptionThe IT Security Officer provides technical security expertise to secure the company’s and/or client’s information and information systems, through the application of accepted best practices both in control management and service delivery.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs a Security SME, provide technical security advice and guidance to the organization.Investigate, assess, and report on the development or spread of potential information security threats and vulnerabilities that may impact DME.Maintain awareness of trends in the development of Information Security, including through participation in industry forums.Identify inefficient procedures or processes, and suggest improvements for implementation.Maintain and contribute to documentation tasks.After-hours work may be required.Weekend work may sometimes be required.On-call rotated roster as required.Complete time recording processes for work performed as required.Prepare and review documentation related to services, procedures, or clients as required.Perform security evaluations of infrastructure changes.Assist as part of the Incident and Problem Management team, in the resolution of technical security incidents.Provide security management functions for various devices and systems including device management, monitoring incident handling, analysis, and monthly reporting.Hold ownership of security policy and configurations of infrastructure elements (such as mail filters, log servers, and web filters), and perform management functions such as policy reviews, incident handling, analysis, and monthly reporting.Other security-related duties as directed.Job Required QualificationDegree in Computer Engineering and other computer related studies, ECE or IT related fieldAble to thrive in an environment characterized by rapidly changing requirementsAt least 2 years of experience working in a BPO environmentStrong written and verbal English communication skillsAble to successfully manage multiple prioritiesProven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationStrong commitment to company values and operating principlesCan work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidaysWilling to work in the office if asked to do soTechnical RequirementsIn-depth knowledge of security-related Network and System infrastructures gained over 3 to 5 years with a large faceted organization, preferably IT Outsourcing, Government, or other organization running mission-critical systems.Demonstrate understanding of IT Security Management principles and delivery within an ITIL-based operational framework.Understanding of basic network principles, especially IP networking, including the nature of common protocols and products (e.g., HTTP, SSH)Basic system administration skills on supported operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux) and a general understanding of the security features of various operating systemsUnderstanding of the principles of network security technologies, and specific experience with the management of enterprise-class productsUnderstanding of vulnerability assessment productsUnderstanding and experience of SOC and SIEM technologyUnderstanding of Cloud technology
