They are seeking a detail-oriented, bilingual Spanish Quality Analyst – Risk Operations to ensure consistent, accurate, and compliant risk decisions while supporting continuous improvement across the Risk Operations team. Role Overview The Spanish Quality Analyst – Risk Operations is responsible for evaluating the quality, accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance of work completed by Risk Analysts handling Spanish-language cases and customer interactions. This role reviews behavioral and transaction analyses, bank statement assessments, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) investigations, identity verification decisions, and fraud-related case outcomes. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Spanish and proficient in English, with the ability to review cases, communicate feedback, and interpret policies and procedures in both languages. Working closely with Risk Operations, Compliance, and Training teams, you will identify performance gaps, provide actionable coaching, support quality calibration sessions, and recommend improvements to processes, policies, and training programs that strengthen the organization’s risk management framework. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Case Reviews Conduct quality reviews of Spanish-language cases completed by Risk Analysts, including behavioral analysis, transaction monitoring, bank statement reviews, EDD investigations, and identity verification. Evaluate case decisions for accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Verify that suspicious activity, fraud indicators, money laundering risks, and policy violations are properly identified, documented, and escalated. Review analyst decisions involving fraudulent, altered, or tampered identity documents. Ensure case notes, supporting evidence, risk assessments, and final decisions are complete, accurate, and well documented. Confirm that Spanish-language communications, documentation, and case interpretations are accurate and consistent with company standards. Apply quality assurance scorecards and sampling methodologies to measure individual and team performance. Performance Improvement & Coaching Identify recurring quality issues, critical errors, process gaps, and emerging risk trends. Deliver objective and actionable feedback to Risk Analysts and their managers in Spanish and English, as needed. Participate in calibration sessions to promote the consistent interpretation and application of policies. Support coaching initiatives and refresher training based on quality findings. Partner with Risk Operations, Compliance, Training, and leadership teams to improve knowledge and performance. Risk Analysis & Reporting Conduct root-cause analyses and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Prepare quality reports, dashboards, and trend analyses for leadership. Escalate material compliance concerns, high-risk cases, and significant control failures promptly. Assist in updating quality standards, review checklists, operating procedures, and internal documentation. Stay current on AML, KYC, EDD, fraud prevention, identity verification, and financial services best practices. Compliance & Operational Excellence Maintain the confidentiality and security of customer, financial, and investigative information. Support continuous-improvement initiatives that enhance quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. Contribute to strengthening internal controls and reducing operational risk. Qualifications Fluency in Spanish, including strong reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively and understand policies, procedures, training materials, and business documentation. Ability to accurately review and evaluate Spanish-language cases, communications, and supporting documentation. Minimum of two years of experience in Risk Operations, Fraud Prevention, Financial Compliance, Transaction Monitoring, KYC, AML, EDD, or a related field. Experience reviewing bank statements, financial documents, customer activity, or complex risk investigations. Ability to identify suspicious activity, fraud indicators, documentation discrepancies, and altered or fraudulent identity documents. Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Auditing, Coaching, or Peer Review is preferred. Working knowledge of AML, KYC, EDD, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and fraud prevention standards. Experience within fintech, banking, payments, lending, or another financial services environment is highly preferred. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, filters, pivot tables, and CSV imports. Experience using risk management platforms, fraud detection systems, CRM tools, and financial data platforms such as Plaid and HubSpot. Familiarity with identity verification and document review software. Ability to build and maintain quality scorecards, trackers, reports, and performance dashboards. Strong analytical and online research skills to support investigations and validate information. Contributions to process improvements, policy enhancements, and training initiatives. Schedule & Work Requirements This full-time position requires approximately 40–50 hours per week. Working hours are primarily aligned with the U.S. Pacific Time (PT) zone. Weekend availability may be required as part of the regular schedule. Must be available to support urgent escalations, operational issues, and high-risk cases when needed.
