Responsibilities


Position Overview: - We are seeking an experienced Lead QA Engineer with 12+ years of Quality Assurance/QE experience and strong hands-on expertise in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain. - The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading QA activities for complex insurance applications, including policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, and policy lifecycle processes. - The candidate should be comfortable working across functional, integration, regression, API, database, and automation testing. - Experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: - Lead QA strategy, planning, estimation, execution, and delivery for P&C insurance applications. - Analyze business and technical requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies, scenarios, and test cases. - Lead functional, system, integration, regression, end-to-end, SIT, and UAT testing. - Validate P&C insurance business processes across the complete policy and claims lifecycle. - Lead defect identification, triage, root-cause analysis, tracking, and resolution. - Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders. - Review test cases, test scripts, automation scripts, and QA deliverables. - Mentor QA engineers and provide technical guidance and leadership. - Develop and maintain regression test suites. - Perform API testing using REST/SOAP services and tools such as Postman or SOAP UI. - Perform backend and database validation using SQL. - Support and enhance test automation frameworks using Selenium, Java, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, or similar technologies. - Track QA metrics, defect trends, test coverage, execution status, and release readiness. - Identify testing risks, dependencies, and quality gaps and communicate them to project leadership. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous QA process improvements. Leadership Responsibilities: - Define QA strategy and testing approach. - Lead onshore/offshore QA teams and coordinate testing activities. - Review and approve test plans, test cases, and automation coverage. - Mentor and guide QA engineers. - Manage testing schedules and deliverables. - Drive defect prevention and continuous quality improvement. - Provide QA status, metrics, risks, and release-readiness reports to stakeholders. - Ensure adequate test coverage across critical P&C insurance workflows. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred. - 12+ years of professional QA/QE experience. - Recent and strong Property & Casualty Insurance experience is mandatory. - Proven experience in a Lead QA Engineer / QA Lead capacity. - Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
