Overview: Healthedge is looking for Java Engineer who is passionate about solving real world business problems to join our team. As a Seasoned Java developer, you will be working on developing solutions that help our customers integrate with our product suite. You will be working as a problem solver with plenty of unique assignments within the department. You will be a key member involved with design discussions, coding on the backend and working heavily with the database and J2EE/integration technologies. You will be an experienced Java developer with background in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and enterprise application integration (EAI) concepts and development. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and development within Java, on the WebLogic Application Server platform. You will be involved in all phases of software development including: requirements definition, design, architecture, development, testing, and integration to bring cutting edge solutions to market. HealthEdge provides the only modern, enterprise-class software platform for healthcare payors. HealthEdge is the only choice for payors to survive and thrive in the emerging healthcare economy.Responsibilities:Work as part of agile team to implement new features according to the requirements while adhering to the best coding development standardsDebug existing Java code to resolve any bug being raised.Ensure applications receive thorough unit and integration testing.Provide solution support and troubleshooting following deployment.Learn fast and solve challenging problems with minimal guidance.Performing all job functions with HealthEdge policies and procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PIIQualifications4 + years of related experience in a commercial software development roleBS/MS Computer ScienceStrong object-oriented programming skills (Java, J2EE, XML, SOAP/Rest and SQL)Working experience with Oracle or other enterprise-class RDBMS.Experience working with application servers such as WebLogic or TomcatKnowledge on IDE as Eclipse (or IntelliJ, etc.) and build and test frameworks like Maven, JUnit.Experience in the full software development lifecycle using an Agile development process.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skillsPreferredExperience with one or more integration Frameworks like Spring, Apache Camel and OSGI containers like Apache Karaf preferred.Experience on Linux and shell or other Unix scripting languagesPrior experience with healthcare applications is a plus.Experience with distributed messaging system like Kafka is a plus.Geographic Responsibility: Remote, USType of Employment: Full-time, permanentFLSA Classification (USA Only): ExemptWork Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met
