Translated is looking for a Postdoc or Senior Scientist to join their AI Research team for the Meetween project. The project aims to use LLMs and multimodal foundation models to improve human communication. The role involves working on large language models, machine translation, speech synthesis, and privacy-preserving machine learning. The successful candidate will collaborate with leading speech processing teams from academia and industry and contribute to the open-sourcing of research outcomes on HuggingFace. Responsibilities: - Work with data, compute, and algorithms - Design neural architectures - Conduct experiment design, implementation, and evaluation - Monitor and evaluate the continually evolving state of the art - Give guidance to more junior team members such as PhD students and interns - Coordinate with partners on the research roadmap - Adapt the project's pace to the rapid scientific development in the field - Organize publications and open-sourcing efforts - Communicate the project's journey through reports, whitepapers, and social media posts
