This role will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and evolving a composable web stack built on Astro, Builder.io, Sanity, and Cloudflare, with a strong emphasis on site performance, reliability, SEO, and marketing velocity.This role blends platform strategy, user experience, and technical performance leadership to build the next-generation web experience. You’ll define the roadmap that connects Marketing, Product, and Engineering to deliver a scalable, measurable, and personalized web ecosystem that powers Boldin’s growth.You’ll guide the evolution of our CMS, site architecture, and performance infrastructure, driving impact across brand storytelling, acquisition, SEO, and experimentation.You will be the internal expert and project owner for the transition from the current wordpress build to our new marketing stack. You will define how our marketing site is built, deployed, cached, searched, and kept online under all conditions.Key Responsibilities:1. Composable Stack Implementation & OperationsImplement and maintain the Astro-based marketing site using Islands Architecture.Integrate and manage Builder.io for visual marketing pages and landing pages.Operate Sanity as the structured content layer (blog, legacy content, multi-tenant data).Ensure clean boundaries between content, presentation, and application logic.Support Pagefind for fast, static, cost-efficient site search.Lead the WordPress to builder.IO migration, managing content modelling, redirect planning, and author enablement, while protecting current search rankings and introducing AI-driven tools to support content updates and ingestion.Own Google Tag Manager, including implementation of Server-side containers.Own the implementation of a Consent Management Platform2. Performance, SEO & Core Web VitalsOwn site performance end-to-end, including: Build output optimizationEdge caching strategiesJavaScript minimization and hydration disciplineMonitor and optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP).Partner with marketing to ensure SEO best practices are enforced in templates, schemas, and content workflows.Work with the Infrastructure Team to ensure pages ship fast by default—performance regressions should be rare and intentional.Own and report on site health, Core Web Vitals, performance, and site-wide conversion metrics in partnership with Analytics.3. Reliability, Caching & Static FailoverPartner with engineering and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and maintain Cloudflare edge caching rules.Support the implementation and testing of static failover (“life raft”) strategies to help ensure business continuity during CMS, CDN, or third-party outages.Contribute to ensuring the core marketing site remains available and performant, even under degraded conditions.Help document and maintain runbooks and operational guidelines for incident response related to the marketing site.4. Marketing Enablement & VelocityEnable marketing teams to: Build and publish pages independently via Builder.ioSchedule campaigns safelyReuse governed components and design patternsTranslate Figma designs into reusable, performant Astro components.Enforce design governance without slowing iteration.Reduce engineering bottlenecks while maintaining code quality.5. Scalability, Multi-Tenancy & Future-ProofingSupport Sanity-based multi-tenant content models without duplicating infrastructure.Ensure the architecture scales cleanly as traffic, content volume, and tenant complexity grow.Evaluate and integrate future tools (analytics, experimentation, personalization) without introducing lock-in or performance debt.KPIS + TargetsMarketing velocity: Marketers can ship campaigns and landing pages without engineering intervention.Performance: Core Web Vitals remain best-in-class for the category.Reliability: The marketing site stays online—even when dependencies fail.Maintainability: Clean content models, reusable components, and low operational overhead.Cost discipline: The stack remains cost-efficient as traffic and usage scale.Qualifications:1+ years of experience maintaining Astro applications.2+ years running headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Storyblok, Sanity, Strapi, or WordPress (headless)Strong knowledge of Core Web Vitals, caching strategies, and performance-tuning techniquesHands-on experience with technical SEO, structured data, and web accessibilityAbility to translate technical details for non-technical partners and keep projects movingComfort working with GA4, Looker (or similar), Google Search Console, and collaborating with data teams on reportingBonus points for fintech or other regulated-industry experienceComfort working directly with marketing, design, and content teams.Experience with Google Tag Manager (Client, but Server preferred)Experience deploying and managing a consent management platformPreferred ExperienceExperience with visual CMS or page builders (Builder.io, Webflow, Contentful visual editors).Experience leading or supporting a CMS migration is a plusFamiliarity with Islands Architecture and partial hydration concepts.Experience implementing static site search solutions (Pagefind, Lunr, Algolia alternatives).Experience translating Figma designs into production-ready components.Exposure to multi-tenant content or SaaS architectures.This is a fully remote positionSalary Range$100,000 - $145,000This position offers a competitive salary between $100,000 and $145,000, depending upon experience and qualifications. Salary may vary by location based on factors, including the cost of living.
