Hiring: SAP BTP DMS Data Archiving Consultant – SAP GTS Location: Chicago, IL — Hybrid Duration: 6 Months Experience: 8+ Years Work Authorization: No Green Card candidates Preference: Ex-TCS candidates preferred We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP DMS Data Archiving Consultant with strong expertise in SAP GTS, SAP Data Volume Management, SAP BASIS-HANA, SAP Data Archiving / ILM, and SAP BTP Document Management Service. The consultant will lead SAP GTS data archiving initiatives and help optimize database growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and support long-term data retention and retrieval requirements. Key Responsibilities: Analyze SAP GTS data-volume growth and identify suitable archiving candidates Define archiving, retention, and residence policies with business, legal, and compliance teams Design and configure SAP GTS data archiving solutions using SAP BTP DMS Configure archiving objects, variants, content repositories, and retrieval mechanisms Implement archiving processes for: /SAPSLL/SPLAT CHANGEDOCU High-volume transactional and custom GTS tables Prepare TDD, FDD, architecture, and archiving strategy documents Support archive, write, store, delete, and retrieval processes Perform unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution Coordinate with SAP Basis, Infrastructure, Security, and business teams Perform pre- and post-archival data validation and reconciliation Develop cutover plans and support production deployment Provide post-go-live hypercare and knowledge transfer to AMS teams Required Skills: SAP GTS SAP Data Volume Management SAP BASIS – HANA SAP Data Archiving SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) SAP Archive Administration – SARA SAP HANA SAP BTP Document Management Service SAP BTP Connectivity and Security Document Repository / Content Management SAP Cloud Integration concepts ABAP Data Dictionary Archiving-object configuration Table-growth analysis Performance optimization Transport management Testing and validation methodologies Preferred Experience: 8+ years of SAP experience 3+ years of SAP Data Archiving / ILM experience SAP GTS implementation/support experience Hands-on SAP BTP DMS integration SAP RISE and S/4HANA environments Compliance and data-retention policies Large-scale archival initiatives involving multi-billion-record tables Strong DVM – Data Volume Management experience Expected Deliverables: Archival Blueprint & Strategy Architecture Design Document Technical Design Document Archiving Configuration Document Test Scripts / UAT Support Cutover Plan Knowledge Transfer Documentation Hypercare Support Important Submission Requirements: No Green Card candidates.
