We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for the indirect spend in the European region. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely within the Czech Republic and collaborate with teams all over the world. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) or comparable degree, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-country sourcing of indirect materials & services. The role involves strategic category management, spend control, cost savings/avoidance delivery, and establishing sustainable management of the category area. The successful candidate will be responsible for approximately USD 30-40 million of expenditure per year and will have the opportunity to create an impact by driving productivity projects and developing sourcing strategies. Responsibilities: - Lead strategic category management for indirect materials and services in the European region - Establish and maintain processes, structure, governance, and templates for sustainable management of the category area - Accountable for reporting and early escalations to Avantor leadership team - Proactively identify productivity projects and drive them to success by developing sourcing strategies - Provide structured work outcomes, clear communication, and regular sharing of project and process documentation
