Pixxel is a space data company building a health monitor for our planet. We are doing that by deploying a constellation of some of the world's most advanced earth imaging satellites in lower earth orbit and an analytics platform (on the ground) with tools that enable easy application of this data across a multitude of sectors. Our fully deployed constellation will be capable of beaming down daily imagery of any place on earth. Pixxel is looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer to contribute towards the development of in-house, on-board spacecraft power electronics. The role involves design, prototyping, testing, assembly, and validation of the spacecraft electrical power subsystem (EPS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical/electronics engineering, experience in PCB design, and a passion for working at the cutting edge of technology. Responsibilities: - Design, prototyping, testing, assembly, and validation of the spacecraft electrical power subsystem (EPS) - Performing analysis and trade studies on EPS subcomponents and working on their procurement from vendors - Designing and realizing PCBs for the EPS subsystem - Working closely with other subsystems to generate software requirements and interface control documents - Developing test plans and test procedures for spacecraft and equipment - Identifying spacecraft harness requirements for reliable operations
