Requirements and responsibilities

🚀 Job description: This role will be responsible for technical strategy, architecture, and evolution of the GC Services IT Network infrastructure. The network engineer will design, implement, and support enterprise-grade network solutions for GC services and their business partners. They will ensure appropriate redundancy, availability, scalability, security, and manageability of the network infrastructure. 🚀 Requirements: ◽ Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. ◽ Strong experience in network engineering, architecture, and operations. ◽ Network certifications preferred. ◽ Extensive experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies preferred. ◽ Experience in private and public clouds preferred. 🚀 Responsibilities: ◽ Research and analyze enterprise and/or business partner requirements. ◽ Maintain up-to-date network diagrams and documentation. ◽ Work with telecommunications engineers on converged networks emphasizing firewalls, WAN/LAN routing, switching, wireless, and advanced QoS tuning. ◽ Implement and support regulatory compliance, policies, IT operations and security procedures. ◽ Assist with new technology investigations, coordinating implementations, and supporting new technologies. ◽ Record and respond to technical incidents and requests using the service desk ticketing system, while adhering to performance goals. ◽ Resolve connectivity and related technical issues within defined SLAs and document root cause and resolution. ◽ Participate in an “on-call” rotation, including enforcement of GC services operations enterprise standards, policies, and procedures.
