Endpoint is headquartered in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina with offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia.Position Overview: This is a mid-level position reporting to the Associate Director of IT in Endpoint’s Hosting Operations organization. The role will contribute and assist in database optimization projects along with assisting any database performance issues.The SQL Server Database Administrator (Mid-Level) will support the management, maintenance, and optimization of SQL Server databases within Endpoint’s Information Technology organization. Reporting to the Associate Director of IT, this role will collaborate closely with other database administrators and production teams to ensure database stability, performance, and scalability. The position is suitable for someone who can independently handle database administration tasks and contribute to process improvement working as an individual contributor.Responsibilities:Provide support for all projects with data tier componentsMonitor and tune SQL queries, procedures, and views for efficiencyMonitor and support routine maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and alert monitoring and responseCollaborate with any/all departments to support database scripting, reporting, and analysis needsEnsure adherence to regulatory guidelines and IT best practicesContribute to disaster recovery planning and testingTroubleshoot common database incidents and perform root cause analysisSupport the implementation of database change controls and service requestsAssist senior DBAs in developing and improving team procedures and documentationSupport Jr. DBAs in their development and growthEducation:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.Experience:3-5 years of SQL server experience required (2014+ preferred)Skills:Ability to work effectively under tight deadlinesMicrosoft office 365Excellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication skillsProcess improvement and problem-solving skillsClosing: #LI-MT #LI-OnsiteWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
