Blu Omega is seeking a Sr QA Engineer and Tester to support enterprise-level data modeling, analytics, and application modernization initiatives within a mission-driven federal health environment. This role operates within a cloud environment and is responsible for quality engineering and testing across data solutions and applications. The position requires experience supporting test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and validation activities within a mission-driven environment.Program OverviewThis role supports a federal health program focused on enterprise data and application modernization.Key DetailsLocation: RemoteClearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determinationResponsibilitiesDesign, build, maintain, and optimize automated testing frameworks for data models, analytics solutions, and data-driven applications.Build and support scalable test environments using AWS, Azure, and other cloud technologies.Apply AI-enhanced testing approaches, including GitHub Copilot, agentic UI automation, and similar technologies, to improve testing efficiency and expand coverage.Perform automated and manual testing, including functional, regression, usability, integration, and data validation testing.Develop and execute test plans, test cases, scripts, and validation strategies for data and analytics solutions.Implement, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Jenkins.Integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows to enable continuous validation and improve release quality.Partner with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies, document defects, and drive issues through resolution.Validate data models, transformations, integrations, and downstream outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability.Analyze test results to identify quality risks, coverage gaps, data issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.Maintaect reports, test results, and quality metrics.Support Agile delivery activities and promote automation and quality engineering best practices across the team.Required Qualifications4+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.4+ years of programming or scripting experience using Python, Java, Groovy, SQL, or Bash.2+ years of experience implementing or supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar technologies.Hands-on experience developing and executing automated tests for complex applications, data solutions, or analytics environments.Experience building or supporting scalable test environments using AWS, Azure, or similar cloud technologies.Experience applying AI-powered QA and testing technologies, such as GitHub Copilot, agentic UI automation, or similar tools.Strong understanding of automated and manual testing methodologies, quality engineering practices, and the software development lifecycle.Strong programming, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience working within Agile software delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document and communicate defects, testing results, risks, and recommendations.Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination based on client requirements.Bachelor’s degree ineering, information technology, data science, or a related field.Preferred QualificationsExperience with MuleSoft, API platforms, enterprise integrations, or middleware technologies.Experience with Power BI or other data modeling and visualization platforms.Experience with Databricks, SQL, or modern enterprise data platforms.Experience testing complex data models, data transformations, data pipelines, or analytics solutions.Experience with human-centered design (HCD), usability testing, and Section 508 accessibility compliance.Experience applying DevSecOps practices within low-code/no-code (LCNC) environments, including automated testing, controlled deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.Experience supporting federal government, public health, healthcare, or large-scale digital service environments.CompensationSalary Range: $137,000.00 - $162,000.00Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.Blu Omega Benefits & PerksMedical, Dental, and Vision coverage through national providers401(k) with company match (eligible after 6 months;
