Requirements and responsibilities

We’re hiring an AI Engineer to join our AI team at Smartup Network and work on global products used by world-renowned enterprise customers. The role is fully remote.This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building real customer-facing AI features — not just prototypes.You’ll own the AI layer of a production-grade policy intelligence product and work on things like:Conversational AI agents used by customers dailyAutomated document summariesLLM-powered workflows that make complex information easier to track and act onAgentic pipelines with LangGraph and LangChainEvaluation datasets, custom evaluators, and quality measurement with LangSmithProduction backend systems using Python, FastAPI, Temporal, MongoDB, and vector searchWhat we’re looking for:Experience shipping LLM-powered features to productionStrong understanding of agentic frameworks; LangGraph is a big plusAbility to design eval sets, interpret results, and improve model quality systematicallyComfort working at the intersection of ML and backend engineeringExperience using AI-assisted development tools like Claude effectively, with good judgment on when to move fast and when to verify carefullyStrong English communication skills, as you’ll be working on a global project with an international, distributed team
