You'll be the design engine behind Viva Landscape, a premium outdoor living design-build company serving the Phoenix, Arizona metro area. You'll work directly with our Sales and Operations teams to produce design deliverables across three tiers, matched to where the lead is in our sales funnel:
Tier 1 — AI Concepts (high volume, fast turnaround)
Generate 3–5 photorealistic AI renders per lead from yard photos and project briefs
Tools: Midjourney, Vizcom, Krea, PromeAI, SketchUp Diffusion, or equivalent
Turnaround: 30–60 minutes per concept set
Use case: first-touch sales calls, ad creative, Loom intros, early consultations
Tier 2 — Hybrid Sketch + AI Renders (mid-funnel)
Build quick SketchUp massings or hand sketches, then photorealize using AI workflows (Vizcom, Krea, PromeAI, ControlNet, image-to-image)
Turnaround: 1–2 hours per render
Use case: committed prospects, second consultations, mid-ticket proposals
Tier 3 — Full Production Renders (closed deals and permitting)
Complete SketchUp models with Lumion photorealistic renders, walkthroughs, and material callouts
Turnaround: 5-10 hours per project
Use case: signed contracts, permit-ready documentation, premium proposals ($30K+)
Ongoing Responsibilities
Collaborate via Slack and ClickUp with Sales, Operations, and Customer Success
Translate field measurements and consultation notes into design deliverables
Maintain a clean asset library (Viva branding, paver styles, pergola variants, Phoenix-climate plant palettes)
Adhere to Viva's Tri-Shield Outdoor System design standards (provided during onboarding)
Recommend the appropriate design tier for each project based on lead quality and budget
REQUIREMENTS
Must-have:
3+ years professional experience in residential landscape, exterior, or hardscape design
Strong portfolio featuring hardscape work (pavers, pergolas, outdoor living spaces) — not only gardens or public landscape
Advanced proficiency in SketchUp + Lumion
Demonstrated AI rendering experience — portfolio must include AI-assisted work (Midjourney, Vizcom, Krea, PromeAI, ControlNet, image-to-image, or similar)
Clear judgment on when to use AI vs. traditional rendering (evaluated in trial project)
English at B2 or higher (written and spoken)
Reliable availability during Phoenix business hours (Mountain Standard Time, UTC-7)
Strong async communication via Slack with a US-based team
Nice-to-have (significant advantages):
Spanish fluency — native or near-native (our leadership is bilingual)
Pool Studio, Vip3D, or other pool/spa-specific design software
AutoCAD or Civil 3D for permit-ready construction plans
Prompt engineering experience with Stable Diffusion or ComfyUI
Familiarity with Arizona desert landscaping (xeriscape, native plants, sun/heat-tolerant materials)
Previous experience supporting US design-build contractors
Paid trial engagement before full contract:
Finalists are invited to a paid trial of 8–20 hours at agreed hourly rate, scoped around a real Viva project brief. The trial covers all three output tiers so we can evaluate the full range:
Tier 1: 2 AI concept sets from a yard photo + brief (~2 hours)
Tier 2: 1 hybrid sketch + AI render (~3–5 hours)
Tier 3: 1 full SketchUp + Lumion render (~6–12 hours)
You'll work inside our actual systems (Slack and ClickUp) during the trial, with brief check-ins so we can evaluate communication and async collaboration alongside the design work.
We evaluate on: quality, speed, judgment on tier selection, and communication.
