About UsRevenue Vessel is a venture-backed software company aiming to modernize how international logistics companies sell.Global logistics is a $40T market started in 1450. As global trade gets more volatile, the old way is breaking. The problem we’re trying to solve: if the right information isn’t in front of the right person at the right time, ships and planes leave ports half-empty. Empty containers mean inflated consumer prices, and when shipping is inefficient, the price of everything from milk to medicine goes up.We exploit the insight that every logistics team sells roughly the same way, and all of them are poorly served right now.If we get this right, we can be involved in every transaction in global logistics—helping customers like FedEx make better capacity decisions, drive demand to their capital investments, and forward savings to consumers—by building intelligent agents on top of messy, complex trade data, integrating deeply into customers’ legacy systems, and making their whole companies more efficient.Role OverviewYou’ll join a team of 6 engineers as a senior IC. You lean full-stack but bring backend strength, designing clean, simple systems and shipping customer-facing features end to end.As an early team member, you’ll own significant pieces of the product and shape how we build. You enjoy talking to customers, iterating based on feedback, and shipping improvements until customers are personally grateful.Near-term workBuilding agents that proactively draft outreach for sales reps when market signals fire (e.g., a new trade lane opening up)Developing AI-powered account research and scoring that automatically qualifies prospectsScaling data pipelines and backend systems as the customer base growsOur stackNode.js, Next.js, Dagster, Heroku, AWS.You'll Love This Job IfYou’re deeply curious and enjoy learning and digging in.You understand there will be more fires than you can get to, so you choose to fight the one that will kill the business. You’ve been on calls with users, heard their problems, and changed what you were building because of it (or you’ve wanted to and been frustrated you couldn’t).You want to work closely with high-integrity, growth-oriented people. You’re excited to invest in your teammates’ growth as they invest in yours. You’ve worked at an early stage startup (<30 employees) before and loved it.This Job Is NOT For You IfYou want the chill life of a large, stable tech company. You want a fixed “9/9/6 grind.” The role expects ~45–50 hours in a typical week, with an emphasis on staying sharp and sustainable (not burned out). You only want to work on projects that interest you—there will be excellent work and also “shit to shovel.” Everyone does both. You think you’ve already learned everything you can.To Excel Here, You'll Need ToNever shy away from a problem just because you haven’t done it before; you can say “I’ve never done this before but give me a few days” and then deliver.Be comfortable across the full stack and backend/data work, and excel in at least one.Be comfortable going really fast when needed, while still delivering bomb-proof systems when needed.Communicate exceptionally well; you could have been a Product Manager, but you like building too much.Example weekly cadence: pairing on features, calling freight forwarders to watch customers use what was shipped, rewriting after learning, writing more code, and returning to customers who are excited about the product.Company ValuesBuild Money Printing Machines: success measured by how much money you help customers make; focus on improving the business system toward perfection.Kill your Ego: show up, put ego aside, get better; give and receive tough feedback openly.Help Each Other Flourish: care deeply about the whole person; help each other excel. It’s Art: we’re in this because we love it; we improve the business because it’s fun.Too High Integrity: do the right thing even when it costs us money. What We OfferFully remote, US-based (EST preferred, PST welcome), flexible hoursExtremely generous equity (aiming to help you make off like a bandit if the company succeeds)Competitive cash compensation: $150K–$210KTop-tier health insurance, dental, optional life insurance, and optional therapy through Talkspace (US employees)Application ProcessInterviews start with a round focused on technical skills and problem-solving approach.
