We are seeking a Senior Data Architect with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to define and lead the design of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data architectures. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES • Design end-to-end data architectures in GCP. • Provide strategic guidance on selecting appropriate data services per use case. • Define when to use: o Cloud SQL (MySQL/Postgres). o BigQuery. o Firestore. o Spanner. o NoSQL vs. relational databases. • Architect batch vs. streaming data pipelines. • Define data modeling strategies (OLTP vs. OLAP). • Establish governance, security, and IAM best practices. • Optimize cost and performance tradeoffs. • Support engineering teams during implementation. DELIVERABLES • Target-state data architecture diagrams. • Technology selection rationale documentation. • Data modeling standards. • Governance and security framework. • Performance and cost optimization recommendations.
