Job Title: Data Center Commissioning Professional – Atlanta, GAWhat this job involves:JLL-Skae is seeking a passionate and experienced data center commissioning professional to join our expanding commissioning team. This role centers on supporting the rapid growth of our data center commissioning services primarily in the Atlanta metro area, with travel to projects throughout the US and Canada. You'll work on a diverse portfolio spanning new construction, greenfield projects, operational facility expansions, and existing facility upgrades. This full-time career position with a Fortune 200 company offers exceptional opportunities for professional growth and advancement.Your day-to-day tasks will include:Applying commissioning processes and deliverables in accordance with ASHRAE commissioning requirements and guidelines across all project phasesLeading electrical and mechanical equipment installation oversight, component startup inspections, pre-functional testing, and integrated systems validationCollaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including Owners, Contractors, Inspectors, AHJs, Engineers of Record, Vendors, and Manufacturers to ensure seamless commissioning executionTroubleshooting and diagnosing critical mechanical and electrical equipment issues, documenting findings, and coordinating resolution with contractors and vendorsManaging multiple concurrent commissioning activities while maintaining clear and effective stakeholder communications throughout project lifecyclesDeveloping and reviewing L1-L5 commissioning test scripts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Methods-of-Procedures (MOPs) for data center systemsConducting network diagnostic testing, heat load testing, scenario testing, and integrated systems testing to validate facility performance and operational readinessPerforming commissioning-focused design drawing, specification, and submittal reviews to ensure alignment with project requirementsPreparing detailed daily, weekly, and monthly client commissioning reports and compiling project documentation into comprehensive Systems ManualsDesired experience and technical skills:Requirements:Minimum 5-7 years of relevant engineering and/or field-testing experience (5 years for Mid-Level, 7 years for Senior Level positions)Minimum 3-5 years providing third-party commissioning services for data center construction projects (3 years for Mid-Level, 5 years for Senior Level)Documented experience as an Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Controls third-party Commissioning Engineer (or Cx Lead/PM) on data center projects with capacities of 25+MWStrong proficiency in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel with excellent data management capabilitiesAbility to use testing meters and equipment including Power Quality Meters (PQM), thermography, NETA tests, ground tests, hi-pot, and meggerKnowledge and hands-on experience testing Transformers, UPS systems, Generators, Switchgear, Chillers (air and water cooled), CRACs/CRAHs, liquid cooling systems (CDUs), and monitoring/control systemsProficiency in QA/QC and commissioning software applications such as BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid, and related platformsWillingness to travel overnight up to 40% across the USA and Canada (typical durations not exceeding two weeks)Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong project management and coordination abilitiesPreferred:ABET accredited engineering or technology degree (equivalent industry experience acceptable)Commissioning Professional certification from a recognized industry authorityProfessional Engineer (PE) certificationProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
