We partner with companies including Rare Beauty, Beautyblender, Liquid Death, Lemon Perfect, and others to create high-performing digital experiences that drive growth.SummaryUN/COMMON is seeking an experienced Senior Retention Designer Contractor to support email marketing and retention-focused creative initiatives across multiple ecommerce clients. This engagement focuses on the development of high-quality email campaigns, lifecycle marketing assets, and related creative deliverables that support client retention strategies.The ideal contractor brings a strong visual design background, extensive experience designing for the email channel, and the ability to independently manage projects while collaborating effectively with strategists, marketers, and creative stakeholders.• Design high-performing email campaigns, automated lifecycle flows, and retention marketing assets for ecommerce brands.• Create visually compelling and conversion-focused creative solutions aligned with client brand guidelines and business objectives.• Develop email concepts, layouts, and visual systems that support retention and customer engagement strategies.• Collaborate with retention strategists, marketers, copywriters, and creative stakeholders to deliver projects on time and according to scope.• Execute projects from concept through final delivery while maintaining quality and consistency across all assets.• Create motion-based elements, GIFs, and lightweight animations when appropriate to enhance customer engagement.• Provide constructive design feedback during project reviews and creative discussions.• Contribute recommendations for improving creative workflows, efficiency, and project execution.• Maintain awareness of performance objectives and incorporate data-informed design decisions into deliverables.• Support occasional internal marketing or business development creative needs as requested.Requirements4+ years of professional design experience, preferably supporting ecommerce, DTC brands, retention marketing, or agency clients.Strong understanding of visual design principles, branding, layout, typography, and customer-focused creative development.Demonstrated experience designing for email marketing and lifecycle retention programs.Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, and auto-layout.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.Motion design experience, including GIF creation and familiarity with Adobe After Effects or similar tools.Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote working environment.Portfolio demonstrating relevant email marketing, retention, ecommerce, and digital design work.Portfolio RequirementPlease include a portfolio link (and password, if applicable) showcasing relevant email marketing, retention, ecommerce, and digital design work.Selection ProcessQualified candidates may be invited to participate in one or more conversations focused on experience, portfolio review, and alignment with project needs.Additional RequirementsProfessional fluency in spoken and written English is required.
