Power TakeOff is seeking a Customer Outreach Specialist I to proactively engage with a wide range of business, institutional, and commercial customers who have identified prospective energy savings opportunities. This is a cold calling position that requires strong organizational skills and persistence to build relationships that drive energy savings.Someone who stays motivated when facing pushback, has a strong attention to detail that allows them to follow team processes and likes the challenge of converting someone from a “no” to a “yes” will enjoy this position. The first few weeks of the position will focus on training and you will have ongoing support from your manager and team to help you be successful. We deliver cost-effective solutions for over 25 utilities across North America.Position SummaryJoin Power TakeOff's innovative Virtual Commissioning® (VCx®) Program as a Customer Outreach Specialist. Through email and phone calls, you will reach out to numerous prospective customers, establishing contact and scheduling virtual meetings between the customer and a Power TakeOff Energy Advisor, who will further assist the customers to implement energy savings opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Program Participation and Knowledge RetentionParticipates in in-depth training on outreach competencies and energy efficiency basicsFollows established playbooks and seeks help for issues outside of their experienceCompletes accurate documentation and follows program processes consistentlyDemonstrates reliable and consistent organization and time management practicesCold Calling & Customer ManagementConducts cold outreach to build a viable, high-quality sales pipelinesParticipates in contact findings and re-prospecting to maintain a robust pipelineBuilds positive relationships with customers, adapting to their approach and needsDemonstrates persistence and resiliency in the face of challengesAccount ManagementLearns how to effectively leverage systems like Outreach.io and Salesforce to keep customer information organizedDevelops consistency in follow-ups and keeps thorough notes on statusDemonstrates a strong attention to detail when following team processesLeverages AI to promote efficiency and effectiveness of outreach effortsTeam EngagementPartner with internal teams to support one another’s success and customer satisfactionParticipates in team discussions and helps build a positive team environmentDemonstrates reliability and accountability for their work, proactively asking for helpParticipates actively in team meetings and discussionsAdapts to change professionally and effectivelyAccepts and responds to feedback to support ongoing development and successKey Qualifications1+ year of professional experience in a customer service representative (CSR) or similar role with cold outreach responsibilities preferredMotivation to engage with with prospective customers via cold calls, emails and meetingsAbility to identify and address real or perceived barriers and articulate benefits to customers to promote their participationAbility to use and learn customer relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g. Salesforce, Outreach.io) and other software tools to effectively organize and manage a customer engagement pipeline and support tracking and reportingComfort leveraging AI to support workflowsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a remote team environment, offering support and willingness to receive and provide feedback to achieve shared goals  Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleaguesConsistently positive and professional communications, even under pressureEffective sales skills and motivation to achieve goalsSelf-motivated with a strong work ethicExcellent organization, record-keeping and time management skillsBilingual abilities are a plusLocation and TravelPower TakeOff is a 100% virtual company with no physical office location. While we are a fully remote company, we have hubs in the Denver and Kitchener areas and provide opportunities for our team members in those areas to connect in person from time to time. This position is eligible for employment in the United States.Travel is not expected for this position. Power TakeOff will cover the associated accommodation and travel expenses for any company travel.Compensation and BenefitsThe total expected salary compensation for employees residing in the U.S. is $20.19 per hour ($42,000 USD per year).
