Responsibilities & more

- Our program provides interns with a fully immersive user-centered design project experience. - Each intern has a Blink manager providing mentorship, direction, and support to ensure an experience of learning and growth. - Our studio environment is also hungry for your new ideas to expand our perspective and push our design practice forward. Blink is looking for a Product Design Intern to join the summer internship program. The internship provides a fully immersive user-centered design project experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to work on pro-bono client projects. The intern will collaborate with Blink designers and researchers, client stakeholders, and fellow interns to create UX design artifacts, contribute to the design practice, and sharpen storytelling and presentation skills. The internship runs for 12 weeks from June 3rd to August 23rd, with a pay rate of $22/hr. Applicants with a digital design portfolio showcasing concept exploration, creative thinking, and craft, as well as emerging UX design skills, are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with Figma and the ability to work collaboratively, both in person and virtually, are also desired. If the applicant's experience looks different from the identified requirements, they are encouraged to include a cover letter explaining why they feel they are right for Blink. Responsibilities: - Collaborate and contribute across the user-centered design process. - Create UX design artifacts including user journey maps, IA diagrams, concept sketches, low and high-fidelity wireframes, and concept prototypes. - Bring a point-of-view into the practice, put forward brave ideas, and make something you love. - Sharpen storytelling and presentation skills through interactions with team members and clients. - Participate in Blink’s design practice including brainstorming sessions, cross-team critiques, and design team meetings.
