Responsibilities
What You'll DoEvaluate product and technical requirements; provide accurate effort estimates, identify risks, and propose implementation approachesDesign, implement, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and performant product functionalityCollaborate with Product Management to review designs, present prototypes, and iterate on solutions that balance customer value, technical quality, and delivery timelinesTake ownership of features or services across the full lifecycle, from design through deployment, monitoring, and supportContribute to technical and functional innovation by identifying opportunities for improvement in architecture, tooling, and development practicesPerform thorough code and design reviews; provide clear, constructive feedback to improve code quality, maintainability, and consistency across the codebaseEnsure software meets established quality standards through testing, design reviews, and adherence to best practicesYour First 90 DaysBy Day 30, with the support of your Team Lead and our Vice President of Development, you will participate in our virtual immersive, enabling you to learn our product, team, and tech stack. You will join your Scrum Team and work to better understand our current product offering and roadmap commits.By Day 60, along with user stories and product features, you will help your team work on a backlog of technical infrastructure work identified by your Team Lead in your First 30 Days.By Day 90, you will play an integral role in delivering on our roadmap. You will have the opportunity to evaluate the strengths and opportunities of our team and tech stack and, in partnership with your Team and Tech Leads, chart a go-forward plan to improve both.Who You Are5+ years of full stack Java experience (Java 8 or higher) in complex enterprise software4+ years experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably ReactExperience with MVC, CSS, JavaScript, jQueryExperience designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs and event-driven integrationsStrong problem-solving mindset with a passion for solving complex, ambiguous problemsProficiency with data modeling and database design, including strong SQL skillsDemonstrated experience leading and participating in incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortemsPrior experience with Git, Tomcat, modern CI/CD pipelines (including Docker containers and Kubernetes)Your DifferentiatorsExperience with responsible usage of AI coding assistants to improve development speed and qualityExperience building AI agents and skillsExperience with GoLangStrong communication skills with ability to work collaboratively and remotelyBachelor's in Computer ScienceOur ValuesWe are a Team. You will be eligible for employee equity as well as discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
