SUMMARYDevelops, writes, edits, and maintains technical documentation, for both print and electronic publication. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.Drafts, edits, and rewrites material of a technical nature (primarily for applications or other complex systems), including manuals, user guides, and technical documentation for presentationsCoordinates with stakeholders to ensure that the user documentation meets all users’ needsAnalyzes products to determine user information needsCoordinates documentation and on-line help requirements with project and technical managersResearches, writes, edits, compiles, revises, and reviews end-user documentation, both print and on-lineCreates effective graphics, flow charts, and diagrams for inclusion in documentationEdits and proofreads technical materials using standard editing marksCoordinates the review, update, and approval of all material by appropriate stakeholders.Adheres to project-imposed deadlines and processesIf required, ensures material is compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973Assists in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Analyzes documentation products and generates initiatives or submits recommendations to improve qualityQUALIFICATIONS:4-year (Bachelor’s) degree preferred; however, directly applicable work experience will be considered for equivalency9 years of applicable experienceAbility to work in a virtual environmentProficient in most MS Office SoftwareExcellent grammar and spelling skillsVersatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constant changing prioritiesStrong people skillsAbility to communicate effectively with business and technical teamsPREFERENCES:Experience with Medicare preferredExperience with PDF remediation to ensure that materials are compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973COMPENSATION: $65,000 to $68,000 dependent upon qualifications and experience.LOCATION: This is a 100% remote/telework position.NHA is a state and federal government contractor; all employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
