Job DescriptionHeroDevs is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a fully remote team of experienced software engineers within our Never-Ending Support (NES) organization, responsible for delivering long-term support and innovation across the Java and Spring ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn day-to-day delivery by managing prioritization, execution, and progress of engineering work aligned to team goals.Act as a technical leader in software security, with a focus on the Java and Spring ecosystem.Adjust priorities and plans in response to customer needs, operational realities, and business feedback.Coach, mentor, and develop engineers to improve technical skills, collaboration, and delivery effectiveness.Collaborate effectively with Sales, Partnerships, and Marketing teams to share and receive roadmap direction.Contribute hands-on to documentation, sales enablement, marketing and security content, and customer communication as needed.Foster a culture of respect, safety, and ownership within the team.Evaluate customer requests to identify potential new product opportunities and scope proposed work accordingly.Promote and support meaningful participation in open source communities and projects.Required QualificationsStrong expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem.Experience as an Engineering Manager, or as a senior software engineer with strong mentorship and leadership experience who is interested in moving into people management.Experience managing and prioritizing work across a set of issues or initiatives.Experience with modern software development practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong collaborative skills within the team and across the company.Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and evolving startup environment.Bonus QualificationsContributions to open source software projects or active involvement in open source communities.Experience with additional technologies beyond Java, particularly .NET.Experience with application security principles and best practices.Additional InformationJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: RemoteLanguage: English (Required)At HeroDevs, we believe in the power of diversity, equity, and inclusion to drive innovation, creativity, and success.
