PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Associate Manager, Campaign Programming is responsible for leading campaign development, audience segmentation, and campaign quality assurance across multiple marketing communication channels, including email, mobile push and SMS messaging. With a strong focus on operational excellence and scalable execution, this role translates business objectives into channel-ready requirements, establishes standards and QA processes, and partners cross-functionally to deliver accurate, on-time campaigns. Following deployment, the Associate Manager provides stakeholders with performance reporting and actionable insights, using data-driven recommendations to optimize future campaigns and testing strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the coding/building, approval process, and deployment of daily, monthly, and ad-hoc campaigns; ensure execution readiness across channels.
• Provide strategic thought leadership for campaign testing, measurement, and optimization; translate learnings into scalable best practices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Marketing Cloud and/or Braze to execute campaigns and perform activities such as audience selection, trigger qualifications, suppressions, segmentation, and arbitration; advise partners on platform capabilities and constraints.
• Own the campaign testing and optimization backlog; prioritize initiatives, manage timelines, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Leverage SQL to build, validate, and document campaign audience segmentation; partner with data teams to improve targeting logic and data quality.
• Establish and enforce QA standards and quality control activities to ensure deployments are timely, accurate, and complete; lead root-cause analysis and implement preventive controls for recurring issues.
• Own and evolve email/channel best practices (browser/client compatibility, accessibility considerations, rendering, subject lines, image usage) and socialize standards with cross-functional partners.
• Develop and govern use of AMPscript and/or dynamic content to personalize campaigns; create reusable patterns and provide guidance to improve efficiency and consistency.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Required Minimum: Bachelor’s degree
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
• 3-5 years of HTML experience, with hands-on experience building and deploying emails
• 3+ years of experience executing and managing email campaigns, including stakeholder intake and production workflows
• 3+ years of SQL experience
• 3+ years of experience working in Marketing Cloud and/or Braze
• Working knowledge of mParticle tool or other CRM/CDP tools
• Understanding of AMP scripting to build personalization in emails; ability to establish reusable components/standards

• Ability to code emails (HTML, CSS, and mobile responsive email design)
