You're as comfortable analyzing retention curves on a Reel as you are filming a talking-head in your living room. You understand that organic and paid social aren't separate worlds - and you know how to create content that works for both.As Odd Bunch grows, this role will evolve with it. You'll be creating content that reaches audiences across multiple markets, and your work will play a direct role in shaping how new communities discover and connect with the brand.What You'll Be DoingContent CreationDevelop and execute short-form video content for Instagram and TikTok that drives awareness, engagement, and community growth - in close collaboration with a content managerProduce platform-native content including Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook ReelsWrite engaging captions optimized for reach and discoverabilityMaintain and manage Odd Bunch's social media accounts across platforms, ensuring consistency in brand voice and posting cadenceMonitor comments and DMs, engage with the audience, and foster genuine two-way conversationOwn the full production process: concept, scripting, shooting, lighting, editing, and final sign-offAppear on camera regularly and comfortably as a face of the brand - while also sourcing and directing other creators or community members as neededAnalyze content performance beyond surface-level metrics - watch time, drop-off points, scroll-stopping rate, save-to-share ratio - and bring those learnings back into the next piece of contentCreate content that works across both organic and paid social channels, understanding the differences in intent, format, and performance benchmarksVideo & Short-Form ContentFilm and edit short-form video optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook ReelsStay on top of emerging social trends, formats, and creative approaches - and bring them to the team proactivelyOrganize and manage social video assetsCommunity ManagementFoster and grow an engaged community across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and Reddit - this could include launching and managing a Facebook Group or similar community spacesRespond to comments, DMs, and community conversations in a way that's warm, on-brand, and humanSpot UGC opportunities and amplify community voices as part of the content mixCampaigns & Brand InitiativesSupport social campaigns, giveaways, and partnershipsCollaborate with the marketing team and internal stakeholders on integrated initiativesSupport or lead additional initiatives including influencer collaborations, brand partnerships, PR moments, and affiliate programsContribute to the broader marketing strategy with a creator's eye and a data-informed mindsetWhat We're Looking For3-4 years of proven experience managing social media and creating short-form video content for a brand - ideally in food, CPG, grocery, or eCommerce, but we care more about your instincts than your industryYou are comfortable and confident on cameraWorking knowledge of video editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)Experience with community management: you've built, nurtured, or moderated an online community and you understand the difference between broadcasting and actually connectingSelf-starter with a bias toward action - you don't wait for a perfect brief to start creatingComfortable working cross-functionally with a content manager, video editor, marketing team, and leadershipBased in Canada, with Toronto preferred for in-person filmingNice to HavesExperience with both organic and paid social creativeFamiliarity with Facebook Groups, Reddit communities, or other community platforms beyond Instagram and TikTokBackground in a startup, DTC brand, or fast-paced creative environmentGraphic design skills (Canva, etc.)What We OfferHealth plan available after 6 monthsRRSP and pension plan available at 12 monthsFree grocery plan20 days PTOFull-time, hybrid role based in CanadaRemote flexibility with in-person filming as neededReal, tangible growth potential - we're scaling fast and actively creating new opportunities as we go.
