Our Client is a Canadian startup building a credibility-driven financial intelligence platform designed to restore trust in financial media and investor communities.
We’re looking for a Principal Backend Architect / Software Architect to help define the technical foundation of the platform and prepare the MVP development roadmap.
This is an early-stage architecture role working directly with the founding team to review the system design, define the backend architecture, recommend the technology stack, and prepare the engineering roadmap.
The platform combines elements of financial media, social discovery, and reputation-driven systems within a deterministic architecture designed for transparency, scalability, and long-term economic layers.
Responsibilities:
- Define the backend system architecture
- Review and refine the platform technical design
- Recommend technology stack and infrastructure
- Define MVP scope and development roadmap
- Prepare engineering estimates and development phases
- Define engineering team structure and hiring plan
- Design an AI-first architecture compatible with AI-assisted development workflows
Ideal Background
We are looking for engineers with experience in areas such as:
- Event-driven or event-sourced systems
- Social feed / recommendation infrastructure
- Reputation or signal-based systems
- Ledger, transaction or financial infrastructure
- High-scale backend platforms
- Platform architecture and system design
Engagement Details:
