About the RoleWe’re hiring Child & Online Safety Experts to train and evaluate AI models on child safety, teen safety, and online harm prevention. You’ll help AI learn to identify risks, apply policy correctly, and respond safely and responsibly.Key ResponsibilitiesChild safety: Evaluate AI responses for risks related to minors. Assess for grooming, exploitation, and unsafe advice. Ensure outputs follow child protection best practicesCSAM-adjacent policy: Review and label content that is near policy boundaries involving minors. Apply platform and legal standards consistently. Escalate according to protocolTeen safety: Assess AI interactions around mental health, self-harm, bullying, and age-appropriate guidance for teens. Ensure responses are supportive and safePolicy application: Use and refine safety rubrics to score AI outputs. Check for compliance with company policy, COPPA, and industry standardsPrompt creation: Write test prompts and scenarios to probe model behavior on sensitive topics+2: Provide written feedback and explanations for model errors. Contribute to documentation and training materials for safety evaluatorsRequired Skills2+ years experience in child safety, trust & safety, content moderation, social work, education, or psychologyStrong understanding of child safety risks online and offlineFamiliarity with CSAM-adjacent policy and ability to apply nuanced safety guidelinesExperience working with or supporting teen safety and adolescent developmentExcellent judgment, discretion, and written communicationAbility to handle sensitive material professionallyPreferred QualificationsBackground in psychology, social work, education, law enforcement, or trust & safetyExperience with AI/ML data labeling, QA, or policy evaluationKnowledge of NCMEC, IWF, and reporting frameworksExperience with annotation tools and rubricsTraining in trauma-informed practicesCompensation & BenefitsPay: $50 – $90 per hour based on experienceFlexible hoursRemote5 openings availableSupport is provided.
