Responsibilities

Position Details: W2-CONTRACT ROLERole: QA Tester / Application TesterWork Arrangement: Remote with occasional onsite visitsKey Responsibilities:Create test cases, test scenarios, test use cases, test data, and test result reports.Perform system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and requirements validation.Develop and maintain documented testing processes and procedures.Support defect identification, documentation, tracking, and resolution.Enter and manage defects using defect management tools.Validate the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) against contractual and business requirements.Collaborate with developers, testers, designers, project managers, and other stakeholders.Develop stakeholder presentations and communicate testing status and results.Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks.Maintain automation test suites and integrate automated testing with DevOps.Collaborate on automation framework architecture and expansion.Provide testing consultation and institutional knowledge of the application and its operations.Required Skills & Experience:Bachelor’s degree puter Science, or related field.5–7 years of IT/software testing experience.Experience with NIEM XML or other complex XML standards.Hands-on experience testing Web Services using SoapUI and/or Postman.Experience with SOA technologies.Strong SQL Server skills, including writing complex SQL queries.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Strong understanding of large, integrated enterprise systems and troubleshooting issues to their source.Programming experience with C# or Java.Experience with data-driven automation testing.Knowledge of Extent Reports or similar automation reporting tools.Strong knowledge of GitHub.Ability to work effectively with technical and business teams.Preferred:Experience with IBM Rational Jazz Suite.Knowledge of software design patterns and 3rd-generation programming languages.Administrative/Security Requirements:Must be able to pass a background investigation.Must sign a confidentiality statement.Occasional onsite meetings may be required.
