Responsibilities

Senior Node.js Backend Engineer (NestJS) at Ruzora. Full-time, 100% remote for residents of Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Costa Rica. Compensation USD 48k-72k/year, negotiable. English B2+ required. You'll join US partner companies whose backend is TypeScript end to end: design APIs, model data, run background jobs and keep the event loop healthy under load. Responsibilities: design and build REST and GraphQL APIs with NestJS or Express; model data with Prisma, TypeORM or Drizzle on PostgreSQL; build background workers and queues with BullMQ or SQS; own observability (structured logs, metrics, tracing, alerting); write integration tests against a real database; review code and set backend conventions. Requirements: 5+ years of backend development, 3+ with Node.js and TypeScript; deep understanding of the event loop, streams and async error handling; strong SQL, schema design and migration discipline; job queues with idempotent retries; Docker and a major cloud provider; Redis; excellent written and spoken English (B2+).
