Cuberg builds high-performance energy solutions based on next-generation technology for the world’s most demanding battery applications. Cuberg technology, paired with the manufacturing excellence of parent company Northvolt, will help give rise to a new generation of mobility businesses and decarbonize hard-to-abate segments of the transportation industry.
Manage and mentor a small team of researchers and engineers in the development and optimization of new battery technologies and advanced materials. Collaborate with advanced technology partners from the parent company, Northvolt. The job requires travel to Sweden (2-3x annually) to ensure on-time project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a small team of researchers and engineers in the development and optimization of new battery technologies and advanced materials.
- Collaborate with advanced technology partners from the parent company, Northvolt.
- Engage with external vendors to benchmark promising materials based on specifications.
- Drive innovation in battery technology through research and experimentation including cell design/modeling, overseeing laboratory experiments, testing, and analysis.
- Identify market trends and needs, and develop new battery solutions to meet them.
- Manage projects from conception to implementation, including planning, budgeting, execution, and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to ensure seamless integration of R&D efforts with production needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
